Brigid Marlin

Brigid Marlin, fantasy and portrait artist is one of the most famous woman Artists using a technique called Mische. Brigid was born in Washington, D.C., studied at the National College of Art, Dublin, the Centre d Art Sacre, and the Atelier Andre L Hote, Paris, the Beaux-arts, Montreal, & Arts Students League of New York. She eventually settled in England. Later she travelled to Vienna, to learn the Mische Technique fromĀ Ernst Fuchs, a technique guarded by the Flemish and Renaissance painters which created a special light by layering oils and egg tempera.
She has been a teacher at Carl Rogers Center , West Herts College and in London. She presently does Painting workshops.
Brigid Marlin is the Founder of Society for Art of the Imagination. This society has branches in the U.S, Europe, and Canada.
